Veg Manchurian Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cabbage, grated
  • 1/2 cup carrot, grated
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup spring onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the grated cabbage, grated carrot, chopped bell pepper, and chopped spring onion.
  2. Add the cornstarch, black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, and salt to the vegetables and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Form small balls from the vegetable mixture and add them to the hot oil.
  5. Fry the balls until they are golden brown and crisp on all sides.
  6. In a separate pan, mix together the water, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and red chili flakes. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Add the fried vegetable balls to the sauce and stir gently to coat them evenly.
  8. Serve the veg Manchurian hot, garnished with chopped spring onions.
