Ingredients:
- 1 cup cabbage, grated
- 1/2 cup carrot, grated
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup spring onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix together the grated cabbage, grated carrot, chopped bell pepper, and chopped spring onion.
- Add the cornstarch, black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, and salt to the vegetables and mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Form small balls from the vegetable mixture and add them to the hot oil.
- Fry the balls until they are golden brown and crisp on all sides.
- In a separate pan, mix together the water, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and red chili flakes. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add the fried vegetable balls to the sauce and stir gently to coat them evenly.
- Serve the veg Manchurian hot, garnished with chopped spring onions.
