Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions:
- Soak the almonds in hot water for about 30 minutes. Peel off the skin and grind them into a fine paste.
- In a pan, heat the milk on medium-low heat.
- Add the almond paste to the milk and stir well.
- Add sugar, saffron, and cardamom powder to the milk mixture and stir again.
- Keep stirring until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool down.
- Refrigerate the badam milk for a few hours.
- Serve chilled and garnish with sliced almonds or saffron strands, if desired.
