  2. In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and dried red chili.
  3. When the seeds start to splutter, add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for a few seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked dal and 1 cup of water to the pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the tamarind paste and salt to the pan and stir to combine.
  6. In a small pan, heat the ghee over medium heat. Add the chopped coriander leaves and fry until they are crispy.
  7. Garnish the rasam with the fried coriander leaves and serve hot.
