Instructions:

  1. In a heavy bottomed pan, add the khoya and heat it over medium flame.
  2. Keep stirring the khoya continuously until it turns smooth and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  3. Add the powdered sugar, cardamom powder and ghee and mix well.
  4. Keep cooking the mixture for another 2-3 minutes or until it starts leaving the sides of the pan again.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  6. Knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  7. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll them into smooth balls.
  8. Flatten the balls to make small pedas.
  9. (Optional) To give a glossy finish to the pedas, brush them with a little milk.
  10. Serve the pedas.
