Ingredients:
- 1 cup black chickpeas (kala chana), soaked overnight and boiled
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
- 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp tamarind chutney
- 1 tbsp mint chutney
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 cup sev (crispy gram flour noodles)
- 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds (optional)
- Lemon juice, to taste
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine boiled black chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, green chili (if using), tamarind chutney, mint chutney, chaat masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add sev and pomegranate seeds and toss to combine.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the chaat and mix well.
- Serve the Kala Chana Chaat in a bowl or on a plate and garnish with additional sev, cilantro, and pomegranate seeds.
