Veg Paneer Parcel Recipe


For the dough:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1/2 cup of warm water (or as needed)

For the filling:

  • 1 cup of crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 1 cup of finely chopped mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc)
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of oil

  1. To make the dough, in a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Mix in the oil until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Slowly add water and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and pliable. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  3. To make the filling, heat a pan over medium heat and add the oil. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped vegetables and sauté until they are soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the crumbled paneer, cilantro, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal-sized balls.
