Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the onions and cook until they turn translucent, stirring occasionally. Add garlic and ginger, and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender.
  4. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder, and stir well. Cook for a few minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  5. Add the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the heavy cream and stir well. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens again.
  7. Add salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves
  8. Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
