Vegan Omelet Recipe - No Eggs Needed
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp grated onion
- 1 tbsp grated tomato
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp chopped green chilies
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Water, as needed
- Oil, for cooking
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, all-purpose flour, grated onion, grated tomato, chopped cilantro, chopped green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Slowly add water to the mixture, stirring constantly, until the batter has the consistency of a thick pancake batter.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a small amount of oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it out evenly to form a circle.
- Cook the omelet for about 2-3 minutes on one side, until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the omelet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side.
