Broccoli Stir Fry recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat a wok or large pan over high heat.
- Add the vegetable oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Add the onion and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, until softened.
- Add the garlic and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.
- Add the red bell pepper and broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce and cornstarch (if using) until smooth.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture over the vegetables and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Drizzle with sesame oil (if using) and toss to coat.
- Serve the stir-fry over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions (if using).
