Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead until a smooth dough is formed. Cover the dough and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and sauté for a few seconds.
  3. Add chopped onions and green chili, and sauté until the onions are translucent.
  4. Add chopped mushrooms and sauté until they are cooked through
  5. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another minute.
  6. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Flatten each ball into a disc and place a spoonful of the mushroom filling in the center.
  7. Bring the edges of the dough together to cover the filling and seal it. Roll out the stuffed dough into a circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  8. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Place the rolled-out paratha on the griddle and cook for a minute or two on each side, until golden brown.
  9. Brush the paratha with oil or ghee and cook for another minute or two on each side, until crispy and golden brown.
  10. Serve hot with raita, chutney, or pickle.
