Ingredients:
- 1 medium head of cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the onions and sauté until they are translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and green chilies and sauté for another 2 minutes.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the shredded cabbage to the pan and stir well.
- Add salt to taste and stir well.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid. Cook the cabbage for 10-15 minutes or until it is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Once the cabbage is cooked, turn off the heat and garnish with chopped cilantro.
- Serve the cabbage bhaji hot with rice or roti.
You can also add some grated coconut while sautéing the cabbage to give it a different taste and texture.
