  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil, for deep-frying


Directions:

  1. Soak the moong dal in water for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Drain and grind it to a coarse paste in a food processor.
  2. Add the green chilies, coriander leaves, asafoetida, cumin seeds, and salt to the paste and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or a large heavy-bottomed pan.
