Ingredients:

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Filling of your choice (vegetables, chicken, beef, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the wheat flour, salt and water to form a dough. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  2. Let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls.
  4. Roll out each ball into a thin circle.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
  6. Fold the circle in half to form a semi-circle, then pinch the edges to seal the momo.
  7. Steam the momos for 8-10 minutes or until they are cooked through.
  8. Serve hot with momo chutney or your choice of dipping sauce.

Note: You can also pan-fry the momos, instead of steaming them, if desired.
