Wheat Momos (Atta Momos) recipe
Here is a recipe for making wheat momos (atta momos):
Ingredients:
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Filling of your choice (vegetables, chicken, beef, etc.)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the wheat flour, salt and water to form a dough. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- Roll out each ball into a thin circle.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the circle in half to form a semi-circle, then pinch the edges to seal the momo.
- Steam the momos for 8-10 minutes or until they are cooked through.
- Serve hot with momo chutney or your choice of dipping sauce.
Note: You can also pan-fry the momos, instead of steaming them, if desired.
