Motichoor laddu Recipe and description

Motichoor Laddu (Indian sweet balls made from boondi)

Ingredients:


  • 2 cups of fine motichoor (boondi)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of ghee
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:


  1. In a pan, heat the ghee and add the motichoor. Roast the motichoor over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
  2. Add the sugar, milk, and cardamom powder to the pan and stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Once the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan, turn off the heat.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
  5. Once cooled enough to handle, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small balls or ladoos.
  6. Roll the ladoos in chopped nuts (if using)
  7. Allow the ladoos to cool completely before serving.
  8. Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make Motichoor Laddu.

Note: You can also add some khoya or mawa for added richness. The laddu will have a softer texture if you add mawa or khoya.
