Motichoor laddu Recipe and description
Motichoor Laddu (Indian sweet balls made from boondi)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of fine motichoor (boondi)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of ghee
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons of chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- In a pan, heat the ghee and add the motichoor. Roast the motichoor over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
- Add the sugar, milk, and cardamom powder to the pan and stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Once the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan, turn off the heat.
- Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
- Once cooled enough to handle, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small balls or ladoos.
- Roll the ladoos in chopped nuts (if using)
- Allow the ladoos to cool completely before serving.
- Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make Motichoor Laddu.
Note: You can also add some khoya or mawa for added richness. The laddu will have a softer texture if you add mawa or khoya.
