Mirchi Pakoda recipe
Ingredients:
- 8-10 long green chili peppers
- 1 cup besan (gram flour)
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- Water as needed
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions:
- Slit the green chili peppers lengthwise, taking care not to cut them all the way through.
- In a mixing bowl, combine besan, rice flour, red chili powder, cumin powder, chaat masala, salt, and baking soda. Mix well.
- Gradually add water to the flour mixture and stir until you have a smooth and thick batter.
- Fill the slits in the chili peppers with the batter.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai for deep frying.
- Carefully drop the chili peppers into the hot oil.
- Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove them from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
