Lacchedar Rabdi is a popular Indian sweet dish made with condensed milk and heavy cream. Here is a  Lacchedar Rabdi Recipe:


  • 1 liter of full-fat milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 green cardamoms, crushed
  • 1 tsp rose water (optional)
  • 1 tsp saffron strands
  • Pistachios or almonds, chopped (for garnish)

  1. In a heavy-bottomed pan, boil the milk over medium heat. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  2. Once the milk comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the milk has reduced to about half its original volume.
  3. Add the heavy cream, sugar, and crushed cardamoms. Mix well and continue to simmer for another 20-25 minutes.
  4. Add the rose water and saffron strands. Mix well and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool down.
  6. Once cooled, transfer the rabdi to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped pistachios or almonds.
  7. Chill the rabdi in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours before serving.


  • You can adjust the sweetness as per your taste.
  • You can also add some crushed dry fruits like cashew, pistachios and almonds for added taste and texture.
  • You can also add some edible silver leaf for added visual appeal.
