Lacchedar Rabdi Recipe
Lacchedar Rabdi is a popular Indian sweet dish made with condensed milk and heavy cream. Here is a Lacchedar Rabdi Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 liter of full-fat milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 green cardamoms, crushed
- 1 tsp rose water (optional)
- 1 tsp saffron strands
- Pistachios or almonds, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, boil the milk over medium heat. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Once the milk comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the milk has reduced to about half its original volume.
- Add the heavy cream, sugar, and crushed cardamoms. Mix well and continue to simmer for another 20-25 minutes.
- Add the rose water and saffron strands. Mix well and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool down.
- Once cooled, transfer the rabdi to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped pistachios or almonds.
- Chill the rabdi in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours before serving.
Note:
- You can adjust the sweetness as per your taste.
- You can also add some crushed dry fruits like cashew, pistachios and almonds for added taste and texture.
- You can also add some edible silver leaf for added visual appeal.
