Hyderabadi Style Cut Mirchi Bajji Chaat Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8-10 long green chilies, slit and deseeded
- 1 cup of besan (gram flour)
- 1/4 cup of rice flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil for deep frying
For the chaat:
- 2 cups of sev (crushed gram flour noodles)
- 2 cups of finely chopped onions
- 2 cups of finely chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup of tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup of mint chutney
- 1/4 teaspoon of chaat masala
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the besan, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Slowly add water to the mixture, stirring continuously, until the batter becomes smooth and of pouring consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Dip each chili in the batter and carefully drop it into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towel-lined plate.
- To make the chaat, place the fried chilies on a plate and top with sev, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, tamarind chutney, mint chutney, chaat masala and salt.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious and spicy Hyderabadi Style Cut Mirchi Bajji Chaat.
Note: You can adjust the amount of green chilies as per your taste.
