Cheese Garlic Bread recipe from scratch
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the bread into slices, leaving the slices attached at the bottom so that it forms a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the butter mixture generously on the inside of each slice of bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the bread slices.
- Wrap the bread loaf in foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Unwrap the foil and cut the bread into slices.
- Serve the cheese garlic bread hot and enjoy!
Note: You can add some sliced tomatoes or chopped parsley to give a more colorful touch to the bread.
