Cheese Dosa Recipe
Cheese dosa is a variation of the traditional South Indian dish, dosa, which is made with a fermented batter of rice and lentils. Here is a recipe for making cheese dosa:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dosa batter (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Oil or ghee for cooking
Instructions:
- Heat a non-stick or cast iron griddle or tawa over medium heat.
- Take a ladle full of dosa batter and pour it on the center of the griddle.
- Using the back of the ladle, spread the batter outwards in a circular motion to form a thin and large dosa.
- Sprinkle grated cheese on one half of the dosa.
- Once the dosa is cooked and golden brown, carefully fold the cheese-covered half over the other half.
- Cook for another minute or two, until the cheese, is melted.
- Serve the cheese dosa hot, with chutney or sambar of your choice.
Note: You can also add some veggies like onion, bell pepper, carrots, etc. with cheese and make it more flavorful.
