Arbi Ke Pakode
Arbi Ke Pakode (Colocasia Fritters)
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of arbi (colocasia)
- 1 cup of besan (gram flour)
- 1/4 cup of rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions:
- Peel and grate the arbi. Squeeze out the excess water.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated arbi, besan, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Using your hands, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small pakoras. Carefully slide them into the hot oil.
- Fry the pakoras until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the pakoras from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve hot with chutney or ketchup. Enjoy!
